UPDATED: COVID-19 // Identity Daytona Coronavirus Response

We will suspend face to face services until further notice.

To Our Identity Family & Friends,

In times where the unprecedented happens, our concern must be met with flexibility and patience. I'd like to thank you all for exhibiting that. Although we have monitored the COVID-19 health crisis very closely during the last seven days, we have been careful about not rushing to cancel our assembly for a few reasons. One of the main reasons is because we believe that the regular gathering of believers is essential to the growth of each individual and us as a faith family.

With the developments that have happened in the last few hours though, we have to retract our initial announcement to continue with our normal worship gatherings. As of the time where I am writing this letter, I along with the elders of Christ Community Church agree that we should suspend all group gatherings for the next 14 days. While we currently have a gathering of fewer than 100 people, we believe that taking the time to limit the potential spread of any illness is critical. This is an extremely difficult thing to do for a young church plant that is in the process of pursuing growth, but we must continue to trust that the Lord will not only protect his people and heal the land, but also grow his church.

Although we will not be meeting face to face, there will still be opportunities to worship. We are currently working on establishing some digital video options that will allow for us to worship in our homes and still have a message from the Bible. I want to thank each and every one of you for your patience at this time. Please be alert to all text and app alerts that may come to you in the days to come.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at [email protected] or use the group communication options that we already have in place.

With Love and Grace,

Pastor Byron
